Noah Braddock needs a job.

This was my first book to read in the Noah Braddock series, but I will definitely be reading all the previous books.Noah is stuck in the past at the beginning of the book but is trying to get himself to move forward.
When a woman from a past case comes to him for help for her father, he thinks he's got a simple case to get him back into the swing of things, but it goes from identifying a women who's image was caught on a surveillance video to a man who disappears, he find himself in a much deeper case than he's handled in a while.
This series is much different from others written by Jeff Shelby, bu tI have fallen in love at first read!

Crime/detective stuff. Not great literature; however, a good story. I have enjoyed all of this series I have read.
I ran into Jeff Shelby’s Noah Braddock series several years ago. It is formula I enjoy when it is done well. PI,buddy, girlfriend all in the mix and a conversational tone. I just finished books 5 and 6 in the series and read through them much too quickly. Glad to see Noah still has something to give me.
Another great read from Jeff Shelby. This installment of the Noah Braddock series felt introspective, and a bit melancholy, while being lighter at the same time. A little less dramatic than most of the other books, this story still manages to be engaging, and maintains the same level of intelligence we've come to expect from Shelby.
As always, I'll look forward to his next release.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading Jeff Shelby's Joe Tyler and Noah Braddock series. Each book is fast-paced and the characters are well-developed. In this book, we get to see how Noah is continuing to cope with the major life events that have occurred (I don't want to spoil it for those who have not yet read the rest of the series) which is something I have been anxiously awaiting to see with each book. This next installment in the series does not disappoint. I would have liked to have seen a bit more action in the book; however, it was still a page-turner. I am excited for the next book in the series!
Jeff Shelby does it again. In this new addition to his Noah Braddock series, Noah is still trying to find his way after the death of his girlfriend Detective Liz Santangelo. Although not sure how he can help, Noah still decides to look into an incident for a new "friend". The case involves a woman seen running on a surveillance video. Does the woman need help? Is she scared? How did she find her way onto an isolated ranch in the middle of an avocado harvest? Noah thinks the case will lead nowhere but as he digs deeper it will take all his skill, and some help from Carter, to find the mystery girl and aid the family of a missing Mexican laborer.
This was a great addition to the Noah Braddock series. It had a feel of a transition book, but it could be read as a standalone if you have not read the previous books. There is enough explanation for first time readers so you won't feel lost, but I promise you will want to go back and read the other books.
Mr. Shelby has more than one series, including a couple of cozies that are fun if you enjoy cozies, but I have to admit the Noah Braddock books are favorites as well as his Joe Tyler books. The Joe Tyler series is how I first came to Mr. Shelby. It too is a great series for thriller readers. Anyway, Noah Braddock and his sidekick Carter are great characters, and the situations they find themselves in will keep you glued to books.
Can't go wrong with a Jeff Shelby book.
Noah Braddock Mysteries is one of the best series ...so good that I am starting with number 1 again and reading through to 6..Killer swell being the first....Impact Zone Noah is on the mend from events from the previous book....losing someone....the book was great..many years I started reading Robert Crais Elvis Cole Novels.. The Noah Braddock draws you in the same as Elvis novels do....Hoping for the Noah book within in a year or so?...Also Mr Sheldy writes the Joe Tyler "Thread" and the River Mysteries series which are great....Read the books you will not be disappointed...
